Two new DOLL panthers for BC-Trans

Both 3-axle semi trailers (S3E-TS18 and S3E-S18 models) are very special new additions, rounding off BC-Trans GmbH & Co. KG’s fleet of towed units to an even 100. Since it was founded, the company based in Lower Bavaria has relied exclusively on DOLL® in addition to conventional semi-trailers in heavy and special transport.

With the two new panther® vehicles, trailers number 13 and 14 enhance the fleet. They are combined with other semi trailers, trailers and flat-bed trailers. Both trailers – one single telescopic and one double telescopic – boast a clever load-securing package with numerous lashing points, lashing rings and stake pockets. Additional lashing straps make it possible to secure a huge range of loads easily and effectively. To transport prefabricated house parts and support high load items at the side, BC-Trans relies on non-telescopic aluminium stakes from ExTe.  For continuous loading from the semi-trailer platform, aluminium support frames compensate for the difference in relation to the low-bed. BC-Trans uses aluminium loading rails to load construction machinery from the rear. And while we’re on the subject of the rear, it happens to be fitted with long-life full LED lighting.

The integrated panther® axles promise optimum handling with low tyre wear, plus exceptional responsiveness with a 55° steering angle and 315 mm total stroke. They also feature optional lift-axle and jack functions. With this, the axles can be lifted on empty trips to preserve the tyres and save fuels. If the tyres do need changing, this can be done easily from the outside and without additional tools, as with a rigid axle. Thanks to the innovative DOLL tronic® control system, all trailer functions – such as changing the driving level or adjusting the track – can be controlled simply and conveniently via keypads on the gooseneck and on the rear.

For BC-Trans, who specialises in extra-long loads and the prefabricated house industry, these two panther®s are real allrounders. And the next panther® is already waiting in the wings. In January 2021, DOLL® number 15 – an identical S3E-S18 – will join the fleet in Falkenberg, Germany.
